Instant Hot Honey Syrup
Don't have fresh peppers? Skip the peppers and the stove altogether and simply combine 3/4 cup honey with 1/2 cup water and stir until the honey dissolves. Next, add 1 tsp of Tabasco or your favorite hot sauce and stir to incorporate. You can easily make it spicier by adding more hot sauce. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
No hot sauce either?
You can make a spicy honey syrup with cayenne pepper powder too. Follow the instructions above for the Instant Hot Honey Syrup, but instead of the hot sauce, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne. This version will have the pepper particles floating in it of course, but you won't notice any graininess in your drinks.
