There is a long ongoing debate over comparing the older Vitamix models with their newer relatives which belong to the same series of kitchen blenders.

Today I had a blast to compare two amazing Legacy series models by doing a Vitamix 5200 VS 7500 review, to show the customers the advantages and disadvantages of both these models.

While the difference in the release dates of these models is clear, several other points make one product better than the other. Today I am going to go over all of them.

Having a blending machine of capabilities that the Vitamix 5200 and the Vitamix 7500 have will not only make your blending much faster, easier, and effective but will also result in the durability aspect.

These blenders are made to last and are extremely powerful, therefore even tougher ingredients like nuts and seeds will stand no chance against their blades.

Vitamix 5200 Review

Coming from the top of the Classic Legacy series models, the Vitamix 5200 is one of the most reliable and powerful kitchen blenders you can come across.

Blending Power and Programs

This blending machine may not have pre-installed options that the majority of the newer generation models have, but it certainly is not less effective.

The reason for this is its powerful 2.0 horsepower peak motor that works just perfectly with the stainless steel laser-cut blades attached to the base of the container.

This feature enables the blender to easily blend all kinds of ingredients and food types, from soft fruit parts to the bigger and tougher food chunks, the 5200 will not fail in producing the perfect mixture.

It does not have the built-in pulse button but can do pulsating blending jobs very effectively by selecting the right speed program.

Besides the traditional 10 variable speed choices, this blender also has a high option for easier blending of harder components and easier cleaning.

Convenience in Use

While the components of this blender are not dishwasher safe, you can easily clean the blender by selecting the high switch and pouring in some water and soap.

The blades and the friction will do the rest of the process for you.

The blender may be a little robust so storing it can sometimes be a little issue since even the container is tall.

Other than that, the 5200 provides great usability and convenience in use, along with offering a user manual and safety programs.

Vitamix 7500 Review

Being a next-generation model from the Legacy series lineup, the Vitamix 7500 is just a truly blending masterpiece that will process any desired ingredients at an impressive time rate.

Functionality Aspects

As far as the blending power is concerned, this blender has an impressive and professional 2.2 horsepower peak motor.

The pulse option offers additional texture improvements in case you need to switch from high–speed powerful blending.

The blades on this model are larger than on some previous models and the container is wider so even with such blades there is more than enough space for the ingredients to move in the container.

This blender is different from its predecessors because it features a low-profile base and container which reduces the height but improves the width of the container base.

This way, you will have a much easier task to find a storage place for it while you will also gain much on usability.

Usability and Design

The Vitamix 7500 is made of premium quality plastic with metal couplings and components where it is most necessary. This makes it extremely durable while it also looks stylish and fits in every kitchen.

The lower profile certainly increases its usability and convenience while the next – generation motor is up to 40% quieter than the previous motor models of Vitamix.

The security measures are taken to prevent the motor from overheating, featuring an improved cooling system that will add up to the durability of the motor.

Vitamix 5200 Vs 7500: Main Differences

Besides the fact that the Vitamix 5200 is a significantly older model, there are a few more differences between these two models worth mentioning.

Main Features Differences

One of the greatest differences between these two models is the fact that the Vitamix 7500 has a more powerful motor.

On top of that, the blades of the 7500 are significantly larger than the ones used in 5200, and the container base is wider so all of that adds up to better functionality of the 7500.

Furthermore, the Vitamix 7500 has a built-in pulse switch while the 5200 does not.

The advantage of the Vitamix 5200 is that it has an additional high-speed switch for more convenient blending, which makes up for the absence of the pulse option.

Convenience in Use Differences

While it may appear that both blenders are quite similar in terms of user convenience, that may not be the exact cause.

The Vitamix 7500 features a next-generation motor which is up to 40% quieter than the one used in Vitamix 5200.

The safety programs on and cooling system on 7500 are improved in comparison to 5200 as well, making 7500 a slightly better and more convenient blender overall.

Vitamix 5200 Vs 7500: Final Thoughts

Now that you have a clearer image of both product’s aspects and properties, it seems logical that the Vitamix 7500 is a better choice for the customers.

It is a newer model and features more modern technology, but costs more which will probably turn down some potential buyers.

After all, it is up to everyone to choose by their capabilities and needs and these two blenders are both powerful enough and convenient for use for every blending enthusiast out there.

The differences are obvious, but they are not big enough for anyone to state that the Vitamix 5200 is a much worse choice.

Hopefully, after reading this review, you will have no more doubts regarding which of these blenders suits the needs of you and your family best.
